Open Rate $19.00 per column inch
Local Bulk Contract
A bulk contract allows you to advertise at a lower column-inch rate in return for committing to a certain number of inches over the course of a year. These inches may be used however and whenever you'd like, as long as the number you commit to is fulfilled by the time your contract expires.
Local Semester Contract
A semester contract allows you to advertise at
a lower column-inch rate in return for committing to a particular number
of inches per week. Frequency contracts are perfect for consistent exposure
and building strong brand images. They also offer our lowest rates.
Semester contracts require running the number of ads specified in the given semester. There is a minimum of 8 column inches per ad.

Retail Column Measurements
The diagram on the right illustrates how a page in the print edition might be laid out. The State News sells advertising space by the column inch, which is different than an actual inch. One column inch is 1.48" wide by 1" tall. *Excludes classified page*
These are calculations for advertisement column widths only. For example, to run an ad that is 3x5, your ad would measure 4.69" by 5".
